We used to pay hundreds of dollars to an accountant to do our taxes every year, until my wife pointed out that I was often correcting his mistakes. So I started doing most of the work myself using cheap online filing software, which worked very. I used to hate painting. Then I volunteered for Habitat for Humanity, and later took a job working for an investor who flipped houses. Both required a lot of painting.
